The Drilling Hole Methane Extraction Parameter Measurement and Analysis Instrument is a specialized measurement and analysis device developed in accordance with the relevant requirements of the *Coal Mine Safety Regulations* and the *Detailed Rules for the Prevention and Control of Coal and Methane Outbursts*. It is primarily used for monitoring methane extraction parameters and analyzing extraction radii in outburst-prone mines and high-methane mines.
This equipment offers four key advantages. First, the China Coal Research Institute is the drafting entity for the national standard GB/T 42638-2023, “Direct Measurement Method for Coal Seam Gas Extraction Radius in Underground Coal Mines—Extraction Volume Method.” Second, the instrument can automatically and in real time detect key parameters such as flow rate, methane concentration, gas temperature, and pipeline pressure in the gas extraction pipeline of the borehole, ensuring continuous, stable, and accurate data collection; Third, based on the patterns of parameter changes, it intelligently analyzes and determines the gas extraction radius of coal seam boreholes in the measured area and the duration required to meet gas extraction standards, providing a scientific basis for extraction design; fourth, it effectively addresses technical challenges such as unreasonable borehole layout and the difficulty in quantitatively evaluating extraction effectiveness, offering reliable technical and equipment support for efficient gas extraction and the management of outburst hazards.
